According to Geman industry experts, uPVC windows are estimated to have reached a market share of 57.7 % of all window units (WU) sold in Germany in 2017. The findings of four German industry associations was that positive overall economic conditions and rising residential construction is leading to growth of the German window market.

They estimate sales of 14.2 million WU in Germany for 2017 and a stronger increase of 3.3% in 2018, leading to 14.8 million WU is considered possible.

The industry associations are also expecting increasing growth rates in the sales of exterior doors. uPVC doors will account for 32.8% of unit sales in 2018, similar to aluminium doors at 32.5%, and compared to timber doors at 25.3%, and other materials at 9.4% market share.
