A German-based, leading manufacturer of uPVC profiles for windows and doors, profine GmbH, has launched an innovative surface finishing material to offer a robust satin look to windows.
The new product, proCoverTec, uses a liquid synthetic combined with ultra-modern application technology to refine the profile surfaces of conventional windows and provide a colour cover.
Patent pending, it has been developed specifically for profine’s uPVC profile brands - KBE, Kömmerling, and Trocal. The finish can be applied to either one side, or as a full cover on both inside and out, and to smooth visible rebate surfaces.
This new technology comes in a choice of 22 colours, providing a great many design possibilities for every building type. But it offers more than just an extended range of colour schemes: this finish protects the window from mechanical stresses and strains, at the same time meeting dimensional stability, colour fastness, and heat reflection requirements. Its outstanding dirt-repellent properties make the surface easy to clean.
Dr Peter Mrosik, owner and CEO of profine said: “proCoverTec is more than just colour. This surface finishing greatly boosts the value of windows, offering our partners new opportunities to rise above their competitors.”
profine has been marketing profiles with the new finish in test markets such as the Netherlands and Switzerland, and is commencing use in German profine manufacturers from the end of January 2015.
profine uPVC windows are widely available in Australia from Kommerling.
